2001: A Space Odyssey is a philosophical science fiction masterpiece crafted by Kubrick over four years. A mysterious black monolith appears repeatedly from the dawn of human civilization to the space age, guiding the leap of civilization. To explore its secrets, humanity launches the Jupiter Mission in 2001. The spaceship's intelligent computer HAL 9000 malfunctions and kills most of the crew, leaving only Captain David to confront it. After shutting down HAL, he travels through the Star Gate alone and enters a bizarre realm beyond time and space, which contains the mysteries of life's cycle and the ultimate secrets of the universe.
